A sculptural fragment from a Burmese Mon Buddha stele, once forming part of a larger devotional composition.

The elongated, flame-like contour and delicate openwork carving reflect the refined aesthetic associated with Mon Buddhist tradition in Myanmar. Such stelae typically framed or sheltered a central image of the Buddha and were placed within temple interiors as sacred focal points.

This surviving fragment retains traces of red and black lacquer, suggesting it was once richly decorated as part of a polychrome ensemble. Though incomplete, the piece carries strong architectural presence and devotional history.
