About

Vintage Kilim Carpet Rug – Geometric Tribal Design, Persia / Afghanistan | 250 x 300cm

This handwoven Kilim carpet features a bold geometric tribal design, crafted with 100% hand-spun wool and natural dyes on a cotton base. Measuring approximately 2.5m x 3m, it showcases the timeless beauty of traditional flat-weave artistry.

Unlike hand-knotted carpets, Kilims are woven without a wool pile, giving them a lighter, flatter texture and reversible quality. Originating from the regions once known as Persia and now also widely produced in Afghanistan, Kilim rugs are celebrated for their simplicity, durability, and distinctive linear motifs — embodying the authenticity and versatility of tribal craftsmanship.
