About

Tea Rex,Water Kettle B

Originally conceived by American architect Michael Graves to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his iconic 1985 whistling bird kettle, this reimagined version anchors its conical, high-shine silhouette with a series of distinct raised rivets encircling the flared base. Rising above the sweeping, structural black thermoplastic arch handle sits the kettle's defining focal point: a metallic, copper-finished polyamide whistle sculpted into a mythological dragon. Caught in mid-flight with its wings unfurled and its jaws open to release steam, this prehistoric creature acts as a whimsical, sculptural counterweight to the sleek, industrial lines of the body. The interplay between the gleaming, reflective metallic surface and the matte, architectural black elements creates a functional kitchen sculpture that feels simultaneously futuristic, ancient, and brilliantly playful.
