About

Salt Castor

Stands as a definitive icon of postmodern tabletop design, beautifully merging architectural geometry with a whimsical, pop-art sensibility. Visually, the piece is anchored by a cylinder of mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel, which features a distinctive, tightly spaced pattern of circular perforations that give the metal a textured, tactile dimension. The cold brilliance of the steel is punctuated at both ends by matte, colored polyamide resin—a flanged, stabilizing base and a playful, pointed cap reminiscent of a stylized crown or cone. Originally conceived to extend the visual language of Graves’s legendary whistling bird kettle, this sculptural object balances high-gloss sheen with geometric color-blocking, elevating an everyday seasoning tool into a piece of functional tabletop art.
