About

Polychromed Tibetan Cabinet Console

A richly weathered Tibetan cabinet console featuring hand-painted floral and figurative panels in vivid cinnabar red, ochre, olive, and black lacquer tones. The façade is adorned with traditional painted motifs and delicate brushwork, softened over time through layers of natural patina and wear. Elevated by its elongated silhouette and narrow proportions, the piece was originally used for storage while also serving as a decorative focal point within the home. The aged lacquer surface reveals decades of use, giving the cabinet a deeply collected and soulful character.
