About

Mirazzo No.1 - Mixed Pak Chong Marble

The Mirazzo Mirror is a striking circular wall mirror that merges everyday utility with sculptural beauty. Drawing inspiration from the speckled texture and utilitarian charm of terrazzo street furniture commonly found across Thailand, this piece reinterprets the humble material into a contemporary design object. Created by Robert Sukrachand, founder of the design studio Pern Baan, the mirror is both a tribute and a transformation—honouring the visual language of Thai urban landscapes while elevating it with modern craftsmanship and poetic restraint. The name Mirazzo, a blend of “mirror” and “terrazzo,” hints at its conceptual roots and design hybridity. Framed in cast terrazzo with a carefully curated palette of stone and glass chips, each piece offers unique tonal variations, ensuring no two mirrors are alike. The surface—cool, tactile, and grounded—adds texture and quiet character to contemporary interiors. Whether placed in an entryway, above a console, or as a focal point in the living room, the Mirazzo Mirror invites reflection not just of self, but of culture and craft—bridging the gap between functional décor and thoughtful storytelling.

Pern Baan

PERN BAAN is the vision of Thai-American designer Robert Sukrachand, whose work explores the intersection of Eastern heritage and Western design. Rooted in both New York and Thailand, the studio specializes in artisan-made lighting and home décor born from cross-cultural collaboration.

After years of crafting bespoke furniture in Brooklyn, Robert returned to Thailand to build a community where global designers and Thai artisans could co-create meaningful objects. Each piece reflects a dialogue between modern design and traditional Thai craftsmanship—objects that tell stories of identity, place, and connection. At PERN BAAN, design is more than form; it’s a bridge between cultures, crafted one piece at a time.
