A striking mid-century sculptural object inspired by traditional string instruments, this carved wooden piece merges folk craftsmanship with modernist form. The body features bold geometric cut-outs and inlaid coloured glass panels in tropical hues of orange, green, and yellow — motifs characteristic of the postwar Tiki aesthetic that celebrated island culture and organic materials.

Hand-carved from solid wood with three tuning pegs and delicate string remnants, it stands as both a decorative accent and a cultural artefact of mid-century fascination with the exotic and handmade.
