About

Early 20th-Century Punjab Brass-Studded Tea Table

A beautifully handcrafted low tea table made of solid walnut, traditionally used for serving tea or small meals in Punjabi households. The front panel is adorned with an array of decorative brass discs in varying sizes—each individually hammered and applied—creating a rhythmic, jewel-like surface. This panel lifts to reveal a hidden storage compartment, once used to store tea ware, small valuables, or household essentials.

With its warm patina, turned corner posts, and a mix of functional design and ornamentation, this piece captures the spirit of early 20th-century Punjabi craftsmanship: practical, symbolic, and visually striking.
