Thaiwijit Puengkasemsomboon is a leading contemporary Thai artist known for his vibrant abstract expressionist paintings and inventive sculptures made from recycled materials. Trained at Silpakorn University and the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Krakowie, he blends influences from primitive art, art brut, and African aesthetics into bold, joyful compositions. By transforming everyday discarded objects into expressive forms, Thaiwijit explores themes of environmental consciousness and finding beauty in the ordinary. His work has been exhibited widely in Thailand and internationally, including the Bangkok Art Biennale 2020.
