A large Chinese antique daybed is a highly coveted statement piece in interior design, historically known as a Luohan Chuang (Luohan bed) or an opium bed.
Characterized by its low three-sided railings and thick, rectangular platform, these versatile benches served as daytime lounging platforms for greeting guests, reading, or resting.
Lacquer on wood. Elaborate carving throughout the frame and legs. Gold details highlighting figural carvings. Built with a woven rattan top and removable side railings.
