About

TIMA - Carved Turtle Lamp

A whimsical fusion of Thai mythology and modern design, this wood and mulberry paper floor lamp by Korakot Aromdee transforms the legendary Turtle into a symbol of lightness and imagination. The hand-carved wooden Turtle figure supports a balloon-shaped lampshade made from translucent mulberry paper stretched over a bamboo frame, evoking the delicate beauty of traditional Thai lanterns. When lit, the lamp radiates a soft, ambient glow — a poetic contrast between grounded craftsmanship and floating form.

The Unrivalled Thai Craft: 7th Anniversary Edition

Where Craft Meets the Digital Age

This year’s exhibition extends beyond gallery walls, introducing a hybrid online–offline experience that makes Thai craftsmanship more accessible than ever. The collaboration presents a digital showcase alongside its physical exhibition — offering collectors and design enthusiasts around the world the opportunity to explore and shop the 7th Anniversary Exclusive Collection, created by seven renowned Thai designers in support of The SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (SACICT).

This collaboration bridges the sensory richness of craft with the connectivity of the digital world, inviting audiences everywhere to experience Thai creativity in a new light.
