About

Brutalist Curved Accent Armchair with Forest Green Floral Cushion

This Arts and Crafts armchair, likely made in England during the early 20th century (circa 1900–1920), exemplifies the movement’s honest craftsmanship and simplicity of form. Constructed from solid quartersawn oak, it features a tall, straight back with a gently arched crest rail and a central splat that emphasizes the beauty of the wood grain. The armrests are squared and supported by upright stiles, while the seat is upholstered in a dark green jacquard fabric that appears original or period-appropriate. With restrained detailing and a sturdy silhouette, the piece reflects the values of the Arts and Crafts era—utility, integrity, and natural beauty.
