About

Barkroll, Kitchen Roll Holder B

Designed by Michel Boucquillon and Donia Maaoui, the sculptural cylindrical form is meticulously formed from a single metal sheet, mimicking the sturdy stance of a tree trunk. Its defining visual element is an intricate, laser-perforated openwork pattern that artfully echoes the organic flow and knots found in natural wood grain and tree bark. When a paper towel roll is placed inside, the white paper subtly peeks through the negative space, creating a beautiful interplay of light, shadow, and texture. Available in mirror-polished stainless steel or striking matte epoxy coatings, this piece seamlessly bridges the gap between industrial precision and the fluid irregularities of the natural world.
