Vintage Persian Tribal Rug – Yalameh Design | 145 x 110cm

A vintage Persian tribal rug in the traditional Yalameh design, hand-knotted with natural wool on a cotton base. Measuring approximately 1.45m x 1.1m, it is an easy size for an entryway, bedroom or study.

Yalameh rugs come from the tribal weaving tradition of southern Iran and are known for their crisp geometry and vivid colour. Here, three linked diamond medallions in ivory and navy run down a rich red field, each outlined with the latch-hook edging typical of the style. Camel side panels and deep navy corners are scattered with small tribal motifs, and an ivory border of geometric rosettes completes the design.
