Vintage Manchester Kashan Persian Carpet | 400 x 320 cm

A vintage Persian carpet in the Manchester Kashan design, hand-knotted in Kashan, Iran, with soft, premium-quality wool on a cotton foundation. An all-over composition of palmettes, scrolling vines and delicate arabesques fills a deep indigo field, picked out in ivory, terracotta, rust, soft gold and pale blue. Multi-layered floral borders in the same balanced palette frame the design. Approximately seventy years old or more and in very good condition, it brings depth and quiet refinement to a large living or dining room.
