"A beautifully proportioned Chinese official’s hat armchair, crafted in the classic Guanmaoyi (官帽椅) form — a design long associated with scholars, officials, and the cultured elite of imperial China. This elegant silhouette is defined by its gently flared crest rail resembling an official’s hat, curved horseshoe arms, and balanced architectural frame.

The backrest features pierced hand-carved scholar motifs, symbolizing longevity, wisdom, and harmony, while the seat rail is subtly detailed with brass-inlaid geometric ornamentation, adding a refined decorative accent. The warm patina of the wood reveals years of natural aging, enhancing the chair’s character and authenticity.
