Lounge Chair by Le Corbusier for Cassina

The iconic LC4 chaise longue, designed by Le Corbusier (with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand) between 1920 and 1949, and produced by Cassina in the 1980s. The chaise features a curved tubular chrome-plated frame that cradles the reclining white leather seat, which rests freely atop a fixed black lacquered base, allowing the user to adjust the angle of recline. A cylindrical black leather headrest completes the design. A landmark of Bauhaus and Modernist furniture design, the LC4 remains one of the most recognisable pieces of 20th-century design history. This example carries an attribution mark and is in excellent, near-original condition with only minimal traces of use.
